I Wanted to post a little something about my 1920's inspired outfit for last Wednesday's Elle Magazine's Style Awards -gala. I know how hard it is to pull of an A+ outfit in Helsinki, and specially last minute! If you have the time, and you are well prepared you won't have trouble finding the perfect dress, for example from your favorite webshop. In case you happen to be a last minute shopper, here is a hint what to do. Play It Again, Sam (Located at Rauhankatu 2) a vintage shop (one of the top ones in Helsinki), sells unique and delicate dresses and accessories from all the past decades. You'll definitely find a classic, drop-dead gorgeous piece to add in your wardrobe. If you don't want to purchase the garment, there is also a rental possibility for special events, such as the Elle -gala. This is the place where to make rare finds, and if nothing else just browse trough the beautiful vintage fashion selection.
The Green Dress located at Erottajankatu 5, is a fantastic place where to shop. It carries International ethical labels and... vintage! You should solicit the store for designer -bag rentals.
Where to shop great shoes when in need? There are couple of shops that I like to check out, but if the time is limited, this one particular boutique will not leave you in trouble. Well, only in case they happen to lack your shoe size! This is Nina's @ Bulevardi 13.
