Rodarte F/W 2010 : THE SHOES

Rodarte by Night. These amazing heels remind me of this city that never sleeps... Where the lights are always glowing... btw. loved the entire, heavenly f/w '10 collection... will get more into details later on. Good night! ZZZZZZZZZZ
South by Southwest gets rocking in Austin, Texas from March 12 to 21. Since the late ’80s the music festival has grown to be one of North America’s largest gathering of music performances and film premieres in the country. I've been wanting to attend South by Southwest, since I heard of it's existence (just for the music though, can't keep up with the entire 10 day festival madness), who's down?!

A slush blizzard attacked NYC an hour before the Diesel Black Gold show was about to start... I believe this was the reason why the show started about forty minutes late. NYC fashion week has really been molested by the never-ending blizzard attacks! Anyways, the long wait was entertained by numerous familiar faces of the fashion industry, such as below Ms. Anna Dello Russo, fashion director at large at Vogue Nippon. Dello Russo really stood out with her presence, and her amazing fuchsia jacket was the perfect choice to keep her right in the limelight.
I was having (once again :) a hard time trying to photograph, this time due to where I was sitting and the hazy smoke that filled the entire room. Anyhow, here few snaps of the actual show...
Models stepping to the catwalk from the Big 'diamond-wall'':
Freja Beha Erichsen opened the show, followed by a line of the hottest models of the moment: Abbey Lee (in photo above), Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Anna Selezneva, and Jac Jagaciak.
Show wise, I knew Diesel was going to pull off something expectacular, no doubt. But what I was really excited about was to see the F/W 2010 collection, by the new Creative Director for Diesel Black Gold: Sophia Kokosalaki. I knew this collaboration couldn't fail, come on we're talking about Sophia Kokosalaki here! The line was still very true to Diesel Black Gold. Relaxed, wearable clothing with an edge. The women's collection was very feminine, sleek and clean - but with a nice rock'n'roll feel to it.  Loved that this season Diesel Black Gold completely skipped the unisex looking complicately cut ''dress-sacks'', and focused in the beautiful female silhouette,
creating incredibly chic and sexy looking outfits.
