Fashion Week's Kodak Moment

Me and Ms. D. talking about business. SERIOUS business.
I saw Nomia's S/S 2010 line during last NYC Fashion Week. Feminine and beautiful, but nothing extraordinary. I'm glad to announce that just a season away the growth of the line has been enormous.
The silhouettes, finishings and the overall presentation of the collection made this time a big happy face mark on my note book. Another good reason to find out more about Nomia
is for their beautiful lookbook photos taken by young and talented Finnish photographer, Kim Öhrling, who is btw, the Photo Editor of newly launched Love Contemporary Magazine.

Model close up! I'm going crazy to work with an Asian model...  I've always been fanatic of this Brazilian blond's unique features.
Fashion week makes me loose track of days. So many events you want and need to see. Everything happens so fast, too fast I would say! Hop in a cab, few minutes time to touch up your make up, get in line of the event, get in, have a glass of champagne, view the collection, mingleminglemingle, and off we go to the next event. So much fun that it sucks that's all over so fast.
But enough with my excitement over fashion week.
Sophomore presented their F/W 2010 collection at Gen Art in an interesting way. The actual lookbook was shot during the presentation. Quirky 'real life' models and super cute clothing. You could feel the good wibes floating around. Nothing serious here, just seriously good times.

Below Sophomore's S/S 2010 beautiful collection trailer by Cass Bird. Shot in Coney Island, NY.

It's been crazy busy and fun times, but in the middle of all of it I have to take a moment and say few words about the tragic loss of Alexander McQueen. Alexander McQueen wasn't only an outstanding fashion designer. This man was a designer genious. A visionary. He was such an inspiration for the whole industry, and beyond it. So brave, so creative, always steps ahead in the fashion game. Whatever this man made, he turned it into gold. I am so, so, so, so incredibly sad of this huge loss of such an amazing talent.  He was that somebody who would never disappoint you with something you'd already seen. There is nobody who can replace his place. Rest in Peace Alexander McQueen. I believe you are in a beautiful place dancing with the angels. Major love and respect to you, Mr. McQueen.
