Givenchy Couture Spring 2010

Stunning make-up. Classy, strong and so glam-rock!
Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy collection was... in one word I would describe it versatile. From tuxedo tailcoats to shirts adorned with feathers. From pale nudes to electric blues. From sheer organza dresses to bright mosaic-embellished pieces. Few of my favorite pieces of the collection were the black feather shorts, the green sequin jumpsuit and that amazing flowy dress above.

I'm off to New York today... Excited, tired, emotional, happy and a bit sad to leave some of my dearest human beings for a while... But that's just how it goes, when you leave one place and go to another... I'll be posting here stories and photos of my adventures in the big apple. Stay tuned, I'll guarantee that you're gonna like it. Moi Moi and Hello Hello!

Sasha Pivovarova shot by Craig McDean, and styled by Karl Templer for Interview Magazine's february issue. What a wonderful mess, I have to say. Louis Vuitton's furry-tail shoes, Miu Miu's 70's style silky platform boots and Prada's plastique chandelier heels. All the tackiest, and coolest S/S 10 footwear.
The shoot reminds me of Henrik Bulow's shoot with Siri Tollerod for DANSK Magazine, check it HERE.
A new exciting face in the market! Found at models.com Congratulations for the news, that she just signed with VIVA model management in Paris.

The comment though that 'Lily' makes at the comment box on models.com is so irritatingly true:

''Oh, another Finnish model. I bet she’s gonna do some stuff and then chicken out cause she wants to concentrate on studies and become a nurse or a schoolteacher or whatever. I’m not saying that being a nurse or schoolteacher is disrespectable, but I just don’t understand what is wrong at mastering those professions while being 5 years older and having couple of millions of campaign money in Your back pocket. Yes, this is really about You, Mia Frilander, You chose to work at the Moomin shop rather than become a international superstar when You had the full potential. It’s basically the story of every Finnish model except Suvi.''

Ouch! Like it or not that is pretty much how the story goes. I hope though, that it will not follow the same pattern when it comes to Kirsi.
