I saw at Beam (Erottajankatu 15) these amazing legging-pants by Helmut Lang. They're made of stretchy jersey fabric and leather. They look so good on. The only not so nice part of these amazing pants is, once again the price. I believe they were around 360 euros. But damn that they looked good on!

I am obsessed with flowers. Huge florals, to be precise. I found this pink blazer for 3 euros at ''Kaivarin Kanuuna''. This is a relatively new flea market in Helsinki, Kaivopuisto. It's a self service market, where you can rent a table for one week for 49 euros. It's really worth for those who have valuable designer pieces, or stuff in a mint condition to be sold. The seller can get a better deal here than in some other flea market. For shopping it's great as well. You can find great vintage pieces for a little pricier price (but still affordable) than in a regular flea market, and at the same time you can make real treasure discoveries, for only few euros. Like I did with my blazer!

WoopWoop! Guess who is going to be in NYC when the collection comes out?! Yes, me! I hope I'll get even one piece from this collection into my hands. The line for the store is going to be huge. I got this brilliant idea last night... I'm turning 30 years old this December. Can you believe it? THIRTY ! No, I cannot believe it either. I'm not freaking out about it, but still for a woman to get older... it's just one of those things that you're not crazy excited about. I mean some might, but they are the ones who are dating a man who is at least 10 years older than they are. My point is that a woman who turns thirty (or more), her birthday should be made a wonderful, memorable, ga-ga-ga-gorgeous day! Every year (after turning thirty) should be celebrated like a sweet 16 party. So, what would make me happy and worth of getting older? AHAA! Presents of course! Nice presents! So, dear friends, boyfriends, family, parents, co-workers... pay attention and start saving your pennies, here comes my present wish item # 1. ;)

WoW! I spotted this girl from Facehunter's blog. What a great styling. It's really hard to pull of more than one leopard print in one outfit, but this girl did it! What can I say. It was great, fun and awesome as all my Flow festival experiences. BUT - I'm glad it's over and I have great memories to cherish. Or better said, great photos to cherish because at some point my memory started to leave empty gaps, if you know what I mean... Anyways, my two favorite artist were definitely Grace Jones & Lily Allen. These ladies both put on amazing shows, but no doubt Grace was the greatest performer of the festival. She is a living legend, who hasn't seem to have aged a year since the past 30 years. Her stage show and energy was unbelievable. Lily looked cute as hell, was super charming while crying on the stage (because of an injection she had put on prior the show to calm her back pain). And her singing sounded perfect.

A friend of mine pulled off the perfect Festival outfit to celebrate Flow. It's a festival right? Colors, sequins and patterns definitely makes it festive!
The sequin jacket was a found at the second hand shop, UFF.
As the night kept moving on the outfit got another addition. The gym pants!

I had to post a photo of myself. Or rather to show you my new hair do. It's super trendy, I admit it. Britney did it. Cassie did it. Rihanna did it. Alice Dellal did it. Solange did it. And I did it. But fuck it, I like it! Feels good to have a kilo less hair in your head.
The next step is to let the hair grow a bit, so I can get some serious shaved hair art in my head. Maybe a Chanel logo? Any suggestions? BTW every time I run to the hairdresser, is NOW or NEVER. I don't do hair appointments, simply because I'm extremely unpatient. So, I got this idea last friday and was calling around town for a hairdresser to shave my hair that day, not next week. I even was going to do it myself, if I didn't get an appointment for that day. Thank goddness I got an appointment at this new hair salon DANDY. The girls here are great and Reija did an awesome job (I'm very picky). Thanks again! My own do would had been a DISASTER, for sure.

This is exactly what I was waiting for the fashion editorials to cover this fall. Harper's Bazaar's September issue did a tribute to Michael Jackson, bringing his iconic style back to date. Even though this is what I'm expecting to see from many other fashion magazines, my eyes in this subject matter are extremely critical. First of all I have to point out that, even though I adore Agyness Deyn, I'm not sure if she was the right pick for the editorial. Maybe is the hair that made this editorial a bit blah for me. I wanted to see some jerry curls! Also the poses could have been a bit more exaggerated, to really pull of MJ's stage moves. Well, for the first fashion editorial dedicated to MJ that I've seen this fall, so far it's pretty decent. But I'm expecting MORE. I will be posting MJ editorials here as they come and by the end of the year I'll make a vote for the best MJ fashion spread. The game is on!
Lollapalooza is a three day music festival held in Chicago, featuring over 130 different rock, hip hop, and punk rock bands. This summer it was held August 7-9, 2009. This is a music festival I would love to attend... maybe next year?
I was going trough some of my old paper photos, from the year 2002. I was quite a hippie back then. Long hair, lots of jewelry (preferably hand made), long scarfs wrapped around my head, leather sandals... so on. It's always a bit painful to see old pictures of yourself, but at the same time it's really amusing. Yes, it's fun as long as the photos are old and not, just a couple of months old.
These funky people photographed at the Lollapalooza festival reminded me of my hippie era.
