Greetings from the beautiful city of New York! It feels great to be back here, i've missed it so bad! The weather is sweet, quite warm I have to say compared to Finland... Yesterday i was able to hangout outside in a t-shirt, which was amazing. Had to put my shades on and was glad to see girls walking around in miniskirts, ah, it felt like summer! I've noticed a funny way some people in NY start to dress when the weather changes from cold to warm. You see the most bizarre clothing and shoe combinations. For instance girls wearing a wool trench and a thick scarf... and in they feet the most summery little sandals on. I wonder what these girls are thinking when leaving their apartments in the morning... Don't they get cold? If it's so warm, why bundle up with a thick jacket and a scarf? And if it isn't so warm, wouldn't it make more sense to wear shoes, but lighten up on the jacket department?

Breakfast

My favorite meal is breakfast. I like it big, and I like to munch it for a while, with a newspaper in my hands. I wish the brunch culture would soon take off in Finland as well, so I wouldn't have to travel all the way to NYC to pig out on food!

London based Jewelry Designer and Artist, Kali Arulpragasam's latest jewelry collection ''THE REAL SUPERSTARS'' is a tribute to all those great inventors who have enhanced and shaped our lives. For the collection the designer narrowed the inventors/scientist to ten, from Christiaan Bernard, who performed the first human heart surgery to John Shepherd who invented the ATM machine. Eight of these ten inventors are still alive, and as we keep living our busy lives we tend to forget about them and recognize them after they're gone. Trough the jewelry, we're reminded of the importance of these inventors, today.

Grunge in 2009

Charles Anastase's designs are always fun and on point. For fall, Anastase mixed and matched everything and anything from fabrics to prints. I've never been a big fan of Curt Cobain (pardon me), but instead I've always been a fan of Courtney Love. Anyways, for those who got nothing out of the beautiful years of grunge in the nineties... probably won't feel it this time either. Me, second time around, still loving it!
